2 years ago, I developed chronic sciatica as a result of a bulging L5 S1 disc.The pain became almost constant, affecting my work, my ability to travel and my exercise in the gym. I own a national award winning organic food shop which I started 27 years ago and have expanded the premises twice, 25 people are employed here. I came off my push bike in May 2012, I was going fast and didn’t have a helmet on and I somersaulted over the handle bars and landed on my head. I lost consciousness, broke 4 ribs and my collar bone. I had huge bruises on my hips and thighs that took 5 months to go and I suffered brain damage to my prefrontal cortex.

When I went back to work for after six months it was only for 4-5 hours a week, if that because it took me 15 minutes to think about one thing, my memory was severely affected. I would also sleep deeply for 3 and 6 hours a day. Slowly over the 4 years before I arrived at Heathers I was increasing my working hours up only upto 25 hours a week, sometimes it was a lot less. I couldn’t remember things that someone had told me an hour earlier.

My business really suffered for the 4 years before I came to see Heather. I was feeling so stressed and overwhelmed I was thinking of selling the business as I couldn’t carry on.The specialist told me that my life wouldn’t change and this was it. Since seeing Heather the improvements with my all my brain damage symptoms (severe fatigue and memory issues) have lead to immense profits in my business, they’ve soared to 10 times what they were, literally.

I am now able to research new products in depth. I am able to involve myself in multiple projects at the same time and keep on top of all of them and remember things, something that I never thought I would be able to do again, ever. Now I am working a full week, even working 6 days when I need to. I do feel tired occasionally, maybe once a week but a 15 or 20 minute rest means I am fully revived to carry on. I am hugely enjoying work again and back to be being creative, vibrant and able to make things happen. I think Heather is truly amazing! Who would have thought brain damage could be reversed with ART, I am so grateful to have found Heather, I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Following an operation on my shoulder, I had constant low level pain and a contracting range of motion. I recently developed movement-induced dizziness or benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV). Any sudden movement of the head (usually head turning) broughton an acute attack without warning, even when I was lying down.

The doctor was not hopeful and muttered about medication which I would have to be on all the time. Heather managed by gentle treatment to make it considerably better after a couple of visits. I think in all I had about 5 treatments and it completely disappeared.

I first went to see Heather after I had strained my calf muscle whilst running. Admittedly, I was very sceptical about sports massage in general and couldn't quite believe that massaging the area would cure my pain. How wrong I was!
